Cinco Gives Back - Lunches of Love
Monday, May 10th, 2021, 8am to 5pm at Cinco Ranch Lake House
Cinco Ranch Community Council would like to invite you to participate along with a monthly giving back project.  Each month, the council will be offering a different program that allows our residents to easily give back to the community.

In May, the Cinco Ranch Community Council will be partnering with the Lunches of Love and their Weekend Edition Program. The Weekend Edition supplies over 2,200-weekend meals for children in need of meals at home on the weekend. With your help, Lunches of Love is working hard to end the very real problem of childhood hunger in our community.
Did you know?
“Texas ranks 3rd in the nation for food insecurity, meaning one in five adults and one in four children in our state are hungry, and that is simply unacceptable.”  – Texas Department of Agriculture Commissioner, Todd Staples.

Hunger impairs our children’s health in significant and long-lasting ways:
Impedes growth and development
More illness, including stomach- and headaches, colds, ear infections, and fatigue
Poorer mental health
More hospitalizations
Have impaired cognitive functioning and diminished capacity to learn
Achieve lower test scores and overall school performance

Help support Lunches of Love with their Weekend Edition program by donating:

Weekend Edition Needs:  September-May
Jif To-Go individual peanut butter cups
Granola bars
Individual fruit cups

Tangible Items:  Year-round
Gas cards for delivery
Gift cards to local stores – Sam’s, Walmart, Kroger, Target, Randalls
Ziploc snack size baggies
Fold over sandwich baggies
Lunch bags 4#
